Coordination of community outreach during my time at Wichita State was a great way for our Shocker LIFE team to marry together two important concepts in student-athlete development: giving back to your community and leadership.

We were able to complete 833 total hours of service from September 2019 - May 2020. During this year, our department received the Wichita Public Schools - Good Apple Award, recognizing a community organization for its outstanding dedication to serving the Wichita community.
