48 YEARS OF TITLE IX CELEBRATION

On the 48th Anniversary of Title IX, we wanted to think of a creative and unique way to educate our student-athletes. The theme of the year was the history behind Title IX. In the process of having our new facility renovated, we were put in a temporary classroom on campus with a giant chalkboard. Here I mapped out a historical timeline marking each monumental year in the evolution of Title IX as it stands today.

To spread the word on the meaning of Title IX and remind our athletes of the importance it holds today, I handcrafted individual tags for student-athletes to attach to their backpack as additional swag to their already well-decorated bag credentials. The messaging displayed on the bag tag is shown below.

2021 NGWSD WALL OF INSPIRATION

For this year's COVID-19 safe' celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day, each student-athlete was given their own square to write down any girl or woman in sports that has inspired their journey. I took each square and created our wall of inspiration in the Student-Athlete Center, where student-athletes could stop by, read about the day, and check out the greats!

Student-athletes were encouraged to engage this year by posting about their chosen woman/girl in sports that they look up to or reaching out to express gratitude.
